Sandblasting – Also Known As Media Blasting

has been a main staple here at Applied Industrial Coatings since day one. We have enough sandblasting equipment here to complete any job. Blasting greatly speeds up the preparation time which ultimately saves the customer money. Therefore we have made significant investments into our sandblasting division to include:

An 8000 lb., 3 operator mobile blast pot. This unit allows us to do large equipment and use multiple blasters at the same time.
A mobile, trailer mounted blast reclaim system with twin vacuums. This system is used inside tanks where the blast media can be reclaimed and used again. This system also is used to vacuum clean tank interiors.
A Blast & Vac system. This system allows us to blast and vacuum at the same time, eliminating dust.
Pipe blasting unit: With this, we are able to sandblast inside of pipes in preparation for painting or powder coating.

We also have a series of 600 lb and 300 lb mobile blast pots as well as a few sandblasting cabinets for smaller jobs.

The process of sandblasting is extremely effective for stripping corroded metal and restoring it. Blasting also creates what’s called ‘a profile’ The profile is important because it’s whats makes the new coating adhere properly. We use all types of blast media (the grit used to strip the paint) in all different sizes, from ‘Fine’ to ‘Extra Course’ This includes:
